The 15th Annual Wild Celebration at Holman Ranch benefited The SPCA's Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Center, the only center of its kind in Monterey County. The highlight of the live auction was the release of three rehabilitated Great Horned Owls into the wild. Guests enjoyed fare by Michael's Catering and wine donated by J. Lohr.
The 5th annual Carmel-by-the-Sea Ocean Avenue Motor Club event moved to elegant new venue, the Sunset Center, this year. Benefiting the Carmel Foundation, the event partnered with Bentley Motorcars. Entertainment of all kinds was the order of the evening, with dinner prepared by Il Fornaio of Carmel.
The 2008 Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, was the sixth year of the luxurious event on the lawn at Quail Lodge. Delicious local food was paired with wines from around the world, gorgeous cars, luxury car test drives and a charity raffle benefiting groups including the California Highway Patrol 11-99 Foundation and Carmel schools.
The 10th Annual Khaki’s of Carmel Ferrari Event benefit raised funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Carmel Youth Center. Hosted by Khaki’s of Carmel, the event was co-sponsored by K-Wave Radio,The Silicon Valley Auto Group and Monterey Insurance Agency. More than 1500 guests enjoyed the beautiful grounds of the Barnyard Shopping Center while viewing 100 Ferraris and sampling fare from 18 vineyards and 10 local restaurants.
The Carmel Bach Festival held their Best of the Fest Dinner benefiting their expanding youth programs. Guests enjoyed cuisine by Chef Cal Stamenov of Bernardus Lodge and wines by Figge Cellars and Mission Ranch Vineyard. Mercedes Benz of Monterey-Bill Stahl Motors Inc. and Carmel Insurance Agency Inc. co-sponsored the event.
The 8th annual White Party was held in Pebble Beach by hosts Cameron and Anthony Davi, Jr. More than 250 guests enjoyed delectable food and cocktails and helped raise funding for this year's recipient, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Monterey County, through a raffle donated by Tiffany & Co.
More than 150 guests enjoyed a strolling dining experience at Kinship Center's Second Annual Harvest Moon Festival, which raises funds to help find safe, permanent homes for abused and abandoned children. Mistress of Ceremonies Karina Rusk joined Auctioneer Pete DeVries to host a live auction that raised $35,000 for programs.
The Starry Night Dinner Auction raised money to help Special Kids Crusade programs and provide support for developmentally disabled children residing in Monterey County. Guests enjoyed wine sponsored by Michaud Vineyard and a three-course dinner presented by the Monterey Marriott.
