Dockers Final Round Party
The Dockers Final Round party, held during the 2008 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, transformed Spanish Bay into a nightclub. Hosted by pro golfer Arron Oberholser, guests included stars Josh Duhamel, Huey Lewis and Tim Daly.The Band From TV performed, made up of celebs James Denton, Greg Grunberg, Bob Guiney and Bonnie Summerville. The event was sponsored by Dockers, Grey Goose, Franciscan Napa Valley and Sentient Jet Membership.
Boys & Girls Club Comics for Kids
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County held their 15th Annual Comics for Kids auction at the Monterey Conference Center. Auctioneer Dan Green entertained a crowd of more than 500 attendees, who helped raise $479,000 for programs in Seaside and Salinas.The evening was topped off with a hilarious performance by Dana Carvey.
Carmel Valley Chamber of Commerce Annual Installation Event
The Carmel Valley Chamber of Commerce held their 54th Annual Installation Event, Passage to Success, at Quail Lodge Resort.The winners of the 2007 Business of the Year awards were Best Artist/ Gallery: Valley Girls; Best Hospitality: Café Rustica; Best Retail Store: Avant Garden and Home; and Best Service to Residents: Carmel Valley Market.
CASA of Monterey County Lighting the Way
CASA of Monterey County’s annual Lighting The Way benefit gala raised more than $200,000 to help abused and neglected children.The Hyatt Regency Monterey was turned into a speakeasy with performances by Mark Mancina, John Wineglass, Matt Cusson, and Dennis Murphy. Executive Chef Mark Ayers created a three-course meal paired with award-winning local wines.
Monterey County Film Commission Oscar Night Celebration
The Monterey County Film Commission’s “Big Night”—its 18th annual celebration of the Academy Awards—took place at the Inn at Spanish Bay.With dinner, wine, a big screen live telecast, silent auction, and private red carpet arrival, the event could have easily won “Best Performance in a Movie Party Leading Role.”
JazzMasters Benefit
The Music Makes Magic gala was held at the Carmel Valley Athletic Club in support of Jazz-Masters Workshop, a locally founded organization that has expanded nationally. Hosted by Clint Eastwood and Scot McKay, the event raised funds for programs at the Boys & Girls Clubs in Seaside and Salinas, and was the kick-off party for this year’s Route 66 Challenge, where band Cow Bop travels in support of programs across the country.
First Annual Pebble Beach Food & Wine
Approximately 3500 people enjoyed the First Annual Pebble Beach Food & Wine. 53 celebrity chefs and 250 wineries participated in wine tastings, lunches, dinners, a rare wine auction and the Lexus Grand Tasting. A portion of the event’s proceeds go to the Monterey County Wine Education Foundation, CASA of Monterey County,The Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County, and the Pebble Beach Foundation.
