Brad, Boots & Belles was the theme of this soldout event, held at Clint and Dina Eastwood's Tehama Golf & Country Club, featuring guest entertainer Brad Paisley. Three hundred guests raised $457,000 in cash and $205,000 in in-kind contributions, all to help fund children's wishes in the Monterey Bay area.
Dametra Cafe was awarded the Business of the Year Award at the 2010 Awards Dinner at Carmel Valley Ranch. Other outstanding businesses honored included Carmel Magazine, Carmel Youth Center, DMT Imaging, First American Title, Fourtane Estates Jewelers, Monterey County Bank, Sunset Center, and many of the businesses pictured here.
The Culinary Classique d'Elegance is the signature event for Meals onWheels of the Monterey Peninsula. Held at Spanish Bay, this spectacular event included 23 local and regional celebrity chefs, such as Charles Phan of the Slanted Door in San Francisco, plus 23 teams of designers and florists who work together to create an over-the-top dining experience. Proceeds from the dinner will benefit the "Save our Breakfast" and sponsorship programs.
The Carmel nonprofit for the humanitarian demining of war-torn countries and their return to economic redevelopment and hope held another spectacular fundraising event at Tehama. Guests enjoyed the magic of Cambodian dancers, moving films and speakers on demining efforts, and Asian style fine dining. All proceeds go directly to landmine removal.
The Community Foundation for Monterey County celebrated philanthropy friends and supporters at the annual donor reception held at Corral de Tierra Country Club. More than 250 guests enjoyed hors d'oeuvres and wine, compliments of Scheid Vineyards, and a display of artwork from youth participants in nonprof it programs supported by Community Foundation grants.
Montrio Bistro hosted a "Celebrate Fall" benefit for The Hope Center.The event raised more than $5,000 to help The Hope Center's food pantry that serves the Monterey Peninsula. The Hope Center helps our neighbors in need with supplemental groceries and pet food. Ocean Mist generously donated a truckload of produce for the event.
Oya Salon presented the 4th annual event to benefit the Breast Cancer Assistance Group of the Monterey Peninsula. Guests enjoyed local wines and hors d'oeuvres under the stars, while flamenco dancers and Spanish guitarists entertained. This year's event raised $17,000 for local breast cancer survivors.
The 19th Annual Philanthropy Day Luncheon and awards presentation took place at the Inn at Spanish Bay in Pebble Beach. National Philanthropy Day is a special day set aside to honor local people and organizations for their generous support and exemplary contributions to nonprofit agencies throughout Monterey and Santa Cruz counties. Sponsors were National Bank of Central California, Hayashi & Wayland, and Monterey Peninsula Foundation.
